Here at the farm we mainly focus on pigs, but we also have a couple horses that we use for recreational riding, and chickens that provide us with bug control and delicious eggs.
We love living the farm life and being able to raise our children in the fresh country air! We hope to instill a love for the outdoors in them. All 3 of our daughters are lucky enough to know where their food comes from and to have the opportunity to see and experience the cycle of life on the farm. They don't always enjoy the chores that are associated with keeping livestock but it provides them with valuable work ethics that will help them succeed in life.
We have a small flock of truly free range chickens. They are free to roam wherever they like all day long! They like to wander into the pig pens daily to eat the excess grain and take dust baths.
We have a mix of brown and white egg layers that consist of Black Australorps, Buff Orpingtons, New Hampshire Reds, Light Brahmas, Silver Laced Wyandotts, White Leghorns (aka crazy chickens), and a Nankin Banty hen.
